Jotron Tron 45S / Tron 45SX Manual 121.5/406 Mhz Emergency Positioning Radio Beacon (EPIRB). When you activate the Tron 45S, it starts transmitting vehicle identity and positioning signals to the COSPAS/SARSAT satellites, a world wide search and rescue system which has been saving lives since 1982. The satellite forwards the signal to a Ground Receiving Station (LUT) where also the position will be calculated and transferred to a Mission Control Centre (MCC). The necessary commands will be sent to the right Rescue Control Centre (RCC) which will co-ordinate the rescue operation. The Search and Rescue Forces (SAR) brings the distress to safety and deactivates the Tron 45S. |
